Hermiston Village is located half a mile to the west of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, immediately north of the Heriot-Watt University. It was awarded Conservation Area status on 20 June 1997 to preserve its unspoiled traditional character against an ever expanding city. The village is in a unique location, being only half a mile from the Edinburgh City Bypass with easy access to the M8, M9 and M90 motorways, the A1, the airport and the new Zeebrugge to Rosyth Superfast ferry terminal. There is a good regular bus service to and from Edinburgh city centre.
